Music producer Washington set the record straight on any rumors of bad blood between him and legendary musician Bebe Cool.

Washington believes Weasel is a legend and that his music legacy will live on for many years. He explained that Weasel is a big pillar in the music industry of Uganda and should be celebrated annually.

Music Producer Washington is Ugandan, but he has worked across most African countries, including Nigeria, South Africa, Zambia, Kenya, Rwanda, among others.

Washington is famously known for producing songs for Radio and Weasel, Blu*3, Chameleon, Bebe Cool, and Bobi Wine.

He made the remarks while speaking to presenters at Flash Radio in Rwanda, where he was visiting to commemorate the 29th anniversary of the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi.

In a recent interview, he compared himself to legendary American producer Dr. Dre. 

He mentioned different singers like Bebe Cool, Bobi Wine, and  Cindy among others.

The interpretation for many was that he has run broke.

To be able to achieve that he has issued a notice to musicians he recorded songs for to pay him his royalties.

The producer says he is coming back to reclaim his throne. He wants to chase Nigerian music from the market. 

However, since Radio’s demise three years ago, Washington has failed to produce a hit song.
