Officers at Kagadi central police station in Kagadi town council have arrested a private security guard for allegedly shooting his colleague to death. 

According to Moses Muzima Kiconco the Kagadi District Police Commander, the suspect is only identified as Ogwoko 27, from Security group Africa-SGA. 

Ogwooko allegedly shot his colleague Barbra Kiiza 28, from the same security firm and resident of Kiryaba Bugambe sub county in Kikuube district. 

It is reported that he opened fire on his colleague Stanbic Bank-Kagadi branch in Kagadi town around 2:30 pm on Sunday afternoon. 

Police officers from Kagadi central police station responded to the gunshots and intercepted the suspect before he flee the scene.

Muzima says it is still unclear why Ogwoko decided to open fire on his colleague, however, unconfirmed reports from eyewitnesses indicate that Ogwoko accused his colleague of reporting late for work. 
The deceased’s body is currently lying at the Kagadi general hospital mortuary pending postmortem.
