Julius Hakiza, the Albertine region police spokesperson has identified the suspects are Moses Aruho 40 and Ivan Musinguzi 28 both residents of Mugyeiguru village in Mpeefu sub-county.

It is alleged that on Monday night while armed with machetes the duo raided the home of Grace Karungi 30, a resident of the same place and hacked her to death over unknown reason. The incident happened at around 11pm.

The deceased was severally hacked on the head, neck, both hands and face and died instantly.

Hakiza says that the police through intelligence led information managed to arrest the duo on Tuesday morning from the same village and they were immediately whisked to Kagadi central police station where they are currently being detained adding that murder charges have already been preferred against the suspects.
