The Uganda peoples’ congress, UPC party under the Akena faction has denied knowledge of a delegate’s conference that is being prepared by their rival faction.
According to a statement written by the party spokesperson Michael Osinde indicates that there is no Delegates Conference to be convened soon by the party as being peddled by some people.
“The purpoted handover by former party president Olara Otunnu to Joseph Bossa at any such gathering is in contempt of court, as court has in the appeal being heard ruled the status quo as Hon. Aken being party President.”
The two factions have been at war for years with Otunnu and Akena, each claiming to be the rightful party leader.
