Kadongo Kamu musician and politician, Mathias Walukaaga, has made a U-turn, revealing he will contest for the Busiro East MP position.
Walukaaga went public over the weekend when NUP launched the youth elections. He assured his supporters that he would contest for the position.
Walukaaga explained that he has the support among the electorate and is going to push for the MP position in the 2026 general elections.
Walukaaga says he is not scared of his opponents. He will give them a run for their money because he has support on the ground.
"Earlier, I had decided not to go for the MP position, but I have made a U-turn. I have the support among you, the electorates, and I will be contesting. I am not scared of anyone because I am assured of people's support," he explained.
Walukaaga will be facing competition for the NUP ticket from incumbent Medard Segona, who despite a strong relationship with Mathias Mpuuga, remains a member of the National Unity Platform.
