Musician Roden Y Kabako is a familiar face at the headquarters of the National Unity Platform in Kavule, Kampala.
He spends most of his time there and is known for his unending support for the party President, Bobi Wine.
Addressing journalists on Wednesday, Kabako explained he is a politician working with the office of the President of the National Unity Platform.
He says his responsibility is to look out for artists and ensure cooperation between the party and the music industry.
"I am a politician working with the office of the President of the National Unity Platform. It's my duty and responsibility to serve the President, and that's what I am focused on at this moment. I ensure a smooth relationship between the party and the music industry," he partly explained.
Kabako also says the music industry is closely intertwined with politics, and that's one of the reasons he chose to focus on it more compared to music.
He, however, ruled out contesting for an elective position in the upcoming 2026 general elections.
