Musician Ava Peace is currently making headlines across East Africa after collaborating with Kenyan musical legend, Redsan.
The song is growing steadily and already hitting the airwaves.
Speaking about the collaboration, Ava Peace explained it was Redsan who approached her for the collaboration through Instagram.
He appreciated her work, praised her for the journey she had made so far, and requested to work with her on a music project. He then jetted into the country, and they recorded "Kilo Kilamba."
"Redsan himself approached me on Instagram. He said, 'You are doing so well, if you have any audios or demos, send them to me, and I'll see if I can contribute something.' I thought he was joking, but when I sent 'Kilo Kilamba,' he loved it," she explained in an interview with a local television station.
Ava Peace also explained Redsan didn't pursue her for her beauty but because of her music.
"He is just positive; he didn't love me for my beauty, but for my music," she added.
Ava Peace says the song is performing well across East Africa, and it will help her cross borders, which will boost her rates across the continent.
