Just a day after Ugandan gospel singers Desire Luzinda and Levixone held a glamorous introduction ceremony to honor their relationship, her ex-boyfriend, Juma Seiko, has revived a fight with her over their daughter's paternity.
The retired army officer and businessman, who is currently based in Gulu, has once again demanded DNA tests, claiming paternity of Desire's daughter, Mitchelle Kaddu.
In an interview with Bukedde Television on Wednesday morning, Seiko expressed disappointment that he was not invited to the introduction ceremony but understood that she might have felt nervous about the paternity issue.
"She knows that I have a bond with her. It has nothing to do with love; that chapter was closed, and I wish her good luck with that young man. But I have something to grind with her, and it is affecting me a lot. She knows that blood is thicker than water. She knows that that child is mine. I have pushed her to go for a DNA test. Why has she declined? She refused to bring the girl from school, and yet we had agreed with her lawyers," he explained during an interview with Bukedde Television's Seguya.
Seiko added that he has all the evidence to prove the daughter's paternity as his own, revealing that he even has messages from his conversations with Desire Luzinda dating as far back as 2003.
The wealthy retired army officer revealed he will never give up on his daughter, explaining that he is ready to foot all bills for DNA testing to prove paternity.
"That girl is mine, even when you look into her eyes. This will never end. I am waiting for the right time to take action. I will not give up and am ready to put in whatever it costs to regain my daughter," he added.
In 2018, Desire Luzinda publicly announced in the media that her daughter, Mitchelle Kaddu, was fathered by a man named Kaddu. She made the revelation after concealing the father's identity for a long period of time.
