Dancehall star Alien Skin and fellow singer Daxx Kartel have finally reunited after years of separation — a moment that excited fans who have long missed seeing the two perform together.
Daxx Kartel was among the first artistes to welcome Alien Skin into the music industry, and the pair collaborated on the hit song “Kubalumya Mitwe,” which took Kampala by storm and remains a fan favorite to date.
However, the two had not shared a stage for several years — until this past weekend, when they performed together at a popular nightspot in Kampala.
Speaking after their performance, Alien Skin revealed that politics had caused their fallout, explaining that Daxx Kartel leaned toward the red camp (opposition) while he aligned with the yellow side (NRM), creating distance between them.
“I’m happy we can finally perform this song together,” Alien Skin told the crowd. “It’s the first time we’ve done it because politics divided us. I’m glad it finally happened.”
Fans at the event cheered on as the two artistes buried their differences, with Alien hinting that this could be the beginning of bigger collaborations in the near future.
