Singer Douglas Mayanja, popularly known as Weasel, has addressed the long-standing speculation surrounding unreleased music recorded by his late music partner, Mowzey Radio.
Speaking about their recording process, Weasel revealed that the duo did not work exclusively from one studio, which makes it difficult to determine the full extent of Radio’s unreleased material.
“We didn’t have one particular studio. Sometimes Radio would call me and direct me to certain studios, telling me he had already recorded something and that I should pass by later and add my part,” Weasel explained.
The singer's remarks have reignited discussions among fans about the possibility of previously unheard music from the legendary Goodlyfe Crew star.
Mowzey Radio, who passed away in 2018, remains one of Uganda’s most celebrated musicians, with his music continuing to influence artists across the region.
Weasel did not reveal how many unreleased songs may still exist but suggested that recordings could be scattered across different studios where Radio worked over the years.
