Chief of Defence Forces Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba has warned Junior Local Government Minister Justine Nameere that she could be removed from Cabinet if her conduct continues to raise concerns.
Muhoozi issued the warning on Tuesday morning through his X account, saying disciplinary action could be taken if Nameere is found to be misbehaving.
“If Nameere is misbehaving, it’s a very simple problem. We shall remove her from the Cabinet. That’s a very simple thing,” he wrote.
The remarks come amid growing scrutiny of Nameere over her reported attempt to organise a celebration for former Speaker of Parliament Anita Among.
The move has reportedly attracted attention within the Patriotic League of Uganda (PLU), with Muhoozi’s latest comments adding to the pressure surrounding the minister.
