If your house caught fire and you could save just one thing, what would it be? This age-old question has been used to seemingly understand what a person thinks is most dear to them and people usually have interesting answers such as pictures of their loved ones, or some trinkets or maybe their books.

Unfortunately for one man in Kansas, US, this question came to life when his house caught fire last week. And the unnamed man chose to save his – wait for it – Xbox from the inferno. What’s more interesting is that he actually ran back into this flaming home to grab the beloved gaming console.

The blaze ended up causing $80,000 worth of damage to the building, but at least a few hundred dollars (it’s not clear which model it was) were saved by the Xbox incident. We really hope he managed to pick up a few games as well on the way out. Understandably, a lot of people, including the folks over at The Inquirer are campaigning for the man to be a candidate for the post of Microsoft’s CEO.
