Musician King Saha has revealed that he previously declined proposals to engage in a music battle with Eddy Kenzo, the President of the Uganda Musicians Federation (UMMF).

Speaking in an interview with a local television station, King Saha said several promoters have approached him over time suggesting a showdown with Kenzo, but he chose to turn down the idea.

According to the singer, such battles could easily escalate into long-term personal conflicts between artists, something he is not willing to be part of.

“I have in the past declined to battle different musicians including Eddy Kenzo. I chose to stay away from it because it could bring permanent enmity between us,” he said.

King Saha emphasized that his decision was guided by the need to maintain peace and professionalism within the music industry, rather than fuel rivalry for entertainment purposes.

He also noted that he has similarly rejected proposals to battle fellow musician Pallaso, especially following their recent physical altercation that attracted public attention.

Saha explained that while competition is part of the industry, he prefers to avoid confrontational formats that could worsen existing tensions between artists.

His remarks come amid ongoing discussions about music battles in Uganda, which have increasingly become a topic of interest among fans and promoters.
