Electoral Commission receives first Batch of Ballot Papers this Afternoon

The electoral commission and other stakeholders will today receive the first consignment of printed ballot papers that will be used in next month’s general elections.

The electoral commission and other stakeholders will today receive the first consignment of printed ballot papers that will be used in next month’s general elections.

The consignment will arrive at Entebbe International Airport from foreign countries. The ballot papers have been printed form the countries of South Africa, United Arab Emirates (Dubai), and The United Kingdom.

According to the Electoral commission Chairman, Eng. Dr. Badru Kiggundu, stakeholders and the media have all been invited to witness the exercise at the airport and other handling stages, like packing and dispatch to districts.

He however notes that, “Such observation will be open to duly accredited candidates’ agents, officials, institutions, and organizers.”
