The infamous 2010 Kampala twin bomb convicts have sought solace in the court of appeal claiming their sentences of life and 50 years imprisonment are harsh
Issa Ahmed Luyima, Hussein Hassan Agad alias Hussein Agade, Idris Magondu alias Christopher Magondu, Habib Suleiman Njoroge and Mohamed Ali Mohamed, Hassan Haruna Luyima and Selemani Hijar Nyamandondo are the heartless men who robbed 76 Ugandan families of their loved ones.
The seven monsters were recently convicted by Justice Alfonse Owiny-Dollo for masterminding the 2010 twin bombings in Kampala at Kyadondo rugby grounds and Ethiopian restaurant in Kabalagala.
They have now through the prison authorities filed an appeal against the sentences handed to them.
However, while sending the murderers away, the judge explained that he handed each of the convicts a sentence that matched their involvement in the suicidal attacks.
According to the notice of appeal filed before the Court of Appeal on June 1st, all the seven convicts currently at Luzira maximum prison say the conviction was wrong and the sentences were harsh and excessive.
Prosecution proved that the convicts and others still at large, on July 11, 2010, without due regard to safety of others or property, intentionally and unlawfully delivered and discharged explosions with intent to cause death and serious bodily injury or extensive destruction likely to or actually result into major economic loss.
