Police in Rubanda has in custody a 21 year old man for allegedly murdering a 53-year old.
Police identified the suspect as Paul Mubangizi, 21 a resident of Ndego Village, Kashasha Parish, Ikumba Sub County in Rubanda district.
He is alleged to have murdered Callist Ahurwendeire 53, a resident of the same area.
On the 15/10//18 at around 2100 hours at Ndego, the two are said to have developed a quarrel after drinking before starting a fight leading to Ahurwendeire death.
In protest, angry residents burnt three houses in the area.
Police was notified, arrested the suspect, dispersed angry residents and prevented more damages.
Postmortem was done and inquiries are underway.
