Parliament premises in Kampala have today been a shooting site of some drama films.

Moments after police arrested two youth belonging to the Jobless brotherhood, another group has invaded the house, this time NRM party members who are demonstrating against Parliament’s decision to dump Nakifuma MP Kafeero Sekitolekko’s constitution amendment Bill.

Last evening, the house was on fire as speaker Rebecca Kadaga directed the Bill to a trash can, claiming it was not special, and that if government wanted to make any changes in the constitution, they would come up with one omnibus bill.

Sekitolekko’s Bill sought to increase serving terms of the independent electoral commission and retirement age of judges.

Now, supporters of NRM from different parts of the country have also showed up at parliament to show their dissatisfaction over the dumping of the useless Bill.

By publication time, the supporters were still looking misplaced at parliament.
