The journalism fraternity is mourning their own, a one Yahaya (Fred) Ssembajjwe an employee of WBS TV and Voice of Africa who was recently clobbered to death by a thug.
Ssembajjwe died on Monday morning after he was stoned by a thug who robbed him on Thursday night after the latter trailed him around Kayunga Road in Kamwokya, severely injuring him on the head.
News reaching our desk now is that Kiira Road Police is holding a suspect in connection with the murder while Kampala Metropolitan Police spokesperson, Patrick Onyango says they believe the suspect whose names he declines to reveal in order not to jeopardize investigations has information to help with investigations.
Ssembajjwe was rushed to Mulago Hospital last week in a critical condition where he died on Monday morning.
The victim was buried in Kalule, Luweero district and is survived by a wife and two children.
