Police in Buikwe district are investigating the circumstances under which a High school director died in a road accident.
The deceased, Annet Namulondo, was a Director at St. Peters Senior Secondary School in Mukono Municipality and a teacher at Victoria SS in Ssi-Bukunja in Buikwe.
She was discovered dead after the vehicle she was driving slowly veered off the road.
Hellen Butoto, the Ssezibwa Region Police Spokesperson, says the vehicle, a Toyota Noah Registration Number UAW 476E knocked down a signpost along Nkokonjeru-Nyenga road while heading to Kisoga town.
Preliminary findings show that Namulondo was moving at a very low speed and should have been trying to get off the road.
“Namulundo’s body was taken to Kawolo Hospital for postmortem and her vehicle driven and parked at Ngogwe Police station pending inspection,” Butoto said.
